Cataract Surgery is performed by making a small incision and by inserting a probe that vibrates thousands of times per second and brakes up the lens while another tiny vacuum sucks out this debris. This procedure is known as Phacoemulsification and is quick and painless. |

A Lens Implant is placed in the eye after the cloudy lens is removed an artificial lens is inserted into the eye in the original lens capsule. Some people see so well after surgery that they do not need glasses full time. |

A cataract can not grow back but the original capsule can become cloudy and affect vision. If this occurs then a simple laser procedure, a Capsulotomy needs to be done. |
